If you’ve ever wished for straighter teeth but hesitated at the thought of metal braces, Invisalign® clear aligners may be the perfect solution. Our friendly team provides customized Invisalign treatment plans designed to help both teens and adults achieve beautiful, confident smiles, without sacrificing comfort or convenience.

Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign uses a series of virtually invisible aligners that fit comfortably over your teeth. They gently shift your teeth into proper alignment while letting you enjoy your daily life without interruptions. Whether you’re preparing for a big event, improving your oral health, or simply ready to smile with confidence, Invisalign is a discreet, effective choice.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Invisalign?

At Cambridge Dental Group, we welcome patients of all ages for Invisalign consultations. You may be an ideal candidate if you:

  • Want straighter teeth without the look of metal braces
  • Are a teen or adult with mild to moderate alignment issues
  • Have good oral health (no active gum disease or untreated cavities)
  • Are committed to wearing aligners for 20–22 hours per day
  • Prefer a removable, lifestyle-friendly orthodontic option

During your first visit, our dentists will carefully evaluate your smile and discuss whether Invisalign is the best solution for your needs.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a modern orthodontic treatment that straightens teeth using a series of clear, removable aligners. These aligners are custom-made from smooth, BPA-free plastic, making them safe, comfortable, and practically invisible when worn.

Each set of aligners is worn for about two weeks before moving to the next in the series. Over time, your teeth gradually shift into their ideal positions. The treatment is effective for a wide range of orthodontic concerns, including:

  • Crooked or crowded teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Overbite, underbite, or crossbite
  • Open bite

The beauty of Invisalign lies in its simplicity;  you can smile freely, eat the foods you love, and maintain normal oral hygiene throughout treatment.

Indications for Invisalign

Invisalign clear aligners can be used on primary and permanent teeth. This orthodontic treatment is appropriate for the treatment of mild to moderate malocclusion, including:

While effective for many patients, Invisalign is not the best option for everyone. This option is not for patients who:

  • Have complex malocclusions, especially if extractions are required
  • Have tooth decay or gum disease
  • Have temporomandibular joint disorders

Invisalign and Malocclusion

Most people have some degree of malocclusion, or teeth misalignment. This may be due to genetics, oral hygiene habits, or childhood habits. In most cases, orthodontic intervention is not necessary. However, for those who need orthodontic treatment, Cambridge Dental Care is proud to offer Invisalign clear aligners.

Dr. Isaac Perle is our Invisalign specialist. He has been given the title of Platinum Provider, which means that he has achieved an exceptional level of experience with Invisalign treatment.

If you believe Invisalign clear aligners might be appropriate for your malocclusion, schedule your consultation appointment today.

Benefits of Invisalign at Cambridge Dental Group

Discreet Appearance

The clear aligners are virtually invisible, making them a popular choice for professionals, teens, and anyone who wants a natural look while straightening their teeth.

Comfort

Unlike metal braces, Invisalign has no sharp brackets or wires. The aligners are smooth and comfortable against your cheeks and gums.

Convenience

You can remove Invisalign aligners when eating, brushing, and flossing. This means no food restrictions and easier oral hygiene.

Predictable Results

Digital planning shows you a preview of your future smile, so you’ll know what to expect before treatment even begins.

Faster Treatment

In many cases, Invisalign can straighten teeth in 12–18 months, sometimes faster than traditional braces.

How does Invisalign Work?

The first step to any procedure at Cambridge Dental Care, including Invisalign clear aligners, is the consultation visit. During this visit, Dr. Isaac Perle will complete a comprehensive exam, which will include x-rays and impressions. This will give us a full picture of your malocclusion and help us create a custom treatment plan.

During this initial visit, we will also discuss your goals for treatment, as well as any other procedures you may need to prepare for Invisalign treatment.

The images and impressions will be sent to the lab for the fabrication of your custom aligners. When your aligners are sent back to the office, we will schedule an appointment to have your first set of aligners fitted. Some patients require attachments to hold the aligners in place on the teeth. Attachments are made from tooth-colored resin, so they will blend in with your natural teeth.

If the aligners fit properly, we will send you home with the remaining aligners, which you will change out every 1 to 3 weeks based on your treatment plan. Most patients see results in 12 to 18 months. Aligners can be removed for eating and oral hygiene but should be worn for a minimum of 20 to 22 hours a day.

Financing and Insurance

Most dental insurance plans do cover a portion of orthodontic care. However, there are some that classify Invisalign as a cosmetic procedure and will not cover anything. Our friendly office staff will work with your provider to determine your coverage and provide you with a quote showing your portion. If you do not have dental coverage or your plan does not cover Invisalign, we do offer financing options. Ask about our low monthly payment plans. We believe that paying for your cosmetic dental treatments should be easy. We accept cash, checks, credit cards, and FSA/HSA funds. For patients who qualify, we offer CareCredit.

FAQs

Can children use Invisalign?

Yes, Invisalign is available for teens and even some younger children under the Invisalign First program. During your consultation, we’ll assess your child’s dental development to determine if Invisalign is an appropriate choice.

Do I need to wear Invisalign aligners all the time?

For best results, aligners must be worn 20–22 hours per day. They should only be removed while eating, drinking anything other than water, or brushing and flossing your teeth.

How often do I need to visit the dentist during treatment?

With Invisalign, check-ups are usually scheduled every 6–8 weeks. These visits are shorter and less frequent than with braces, saving you time while still ensuring consistent progress.

What happens if I lose an aligner?

If you lose or damage an aligner, contact our office right away. Depending on your progress, we may advise moving to the next aligner or replacing the lost one.

Is Invisalign safe for my teeth and gums?

Yes. Invisalign aligners are made from smooth, BPA-free plastic that won’t irritate your gums or cheeks. Plus, since they’re removable, you can brush and floss normally, helping maintain excellent oral health throughout treatment.

Will Invisalign affect my speech?

Some patients notice a slight lisp when first wearing aligners. This usually goes away within a few days as your mouth adjusts. Most people speak clearly and confidently while wearing Invisalign.

What happens after Invisalign treatment ends?

After treatment, you’ll receive a custom retainer to maintain your new smile. Wearing it as instructed is essential to prevent your teeth from shifting back.
